Focus on fun. One tip we’ve grown to love that makes Halloween decorating simple and easy is to focus on one specific area of your home at a time. Creating a focal point in a room or hallway will help you avoid the pressure of decorating the entire area.

Entrance and stairway accents. To add ambiance one step at a time, use multiple candle holders. The Large Change-O-Luminary™ or Hanging Bat Votive Holders are our go-to choices for layering light and fragrance.

Here are three ways we’re building collections this summer:

1. Designate a holder for each member of your family. Keep your holders in a place that your family and friends see every day so they can see and talk about their keepsakes.

2. Take a trip to your local farmer’s market. The best of the season is sure to be around – herbs, botanicals, fruits are all beautiful in glass.

What summer memories or special keepsakes are you collecting this summer?

Here are tips for creating your “perfect” centerpiece:
1. Decide on the mood for your gathering – elegant, casual, festive, thematic.
2. Start with a piece that anchors your centerpiece – lanterns, hurricanes and glass pillar holders are some of our favorite larger candle holders.
3. Work from the center out by adding smaller votive or tealight holders.
4. Fill holders with candles that serve as decorations by day and extend the mood throughout the evening.
5. Add natural collections or fresh cut flowers in colors that complement the glass and candles.

In this centerpiece, we started by anchoring our table with the Antique Silver Lantern (catalog, p. 18) and a pillar candle. Next we positioned the artisan glass Santorini™ Tealight Trio (catalog, p.48) in ocean and sky blues. From there we added starfish, fresh cut flowers and fruit.

1. Position candles along the edges to define your outdoor space. In this photo the Lotus Scroll Floor Stands structure, Antique Silver and Weather Zinc Lanterns as well as a tray of candles frame the deck for guest to gather and provide different points of light.

2. Trays provide a great way to display candle gardens and groupings. In this photo, our Metal Ant Votive Holder, GloLite by PartyLite™, and Island Inspiration™ Tealight Holder are displayed on the Classic White Square Pillar Tray. The Metal Dragonfly Votive Spike claims the corner.

3. Hurricanes and votive holders are invaluable for keeping candles lit throughout the night. Seen below is the Modern Rustic Votive Holder.
